Learning Objectives
Training Curriculum
The Integrated Health Care Services Training Course is based on the curriculum developed by a multidisciplinary team of the Lao Ministry of Health :
The Department of Health Personnel (DHP) together with the Department of Communicable Disease Control (DCDC), the Department of Hygiene and Health Promotion (DHHP), the Center for HIV/AIDS and STI (CHAS), the National Tuberculosis Control (NTC), the Center for Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology (CMPE), the Center for Health Statistic and Information (CHSI), and the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) developed the curriculum with funding from L'Initiative / Expertise France.
This e-learning version is an adaptation of the in-person course for the online audience.

Training Modules
The course consists of 05 modules of approximately one hour each.
- Module 1) : Prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- Module 2) : Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis (TB)
- Module 3) : Prevention and Control of Malaria
- Module 4) : Integrated Health Education, and Communication Skills
- Module 5) : Provision of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborns, Child, Adolescents Health and Sexual Health and Rights
- Module 6) : Integrated guidelines, case studies, roles plays and Monitoring and Supervision

Course assessment
Each module has a series of quizzes to test your understanding of some of the concepts in that topic. In the final module you will see that you can obtain a certificate of completion - the requirements for this are to access the resources in each section and to pass the quiz at the end with a minimum score of 80%.
This is a self-paced course that you can complete at your own pace. We encourage you to reflect on the topics and perhaps take notes as you go along, as this is a good way of ensuring that you are able to internalise the information presented and the lessons to be learnt. This can then become part of your personal development plan.CPD
